Ma Long is the winner of China Open 2015!

No.1 seed, and No.1 player in the world - Ma Long from China is the winner of this years China Open - 2015 world tour. In finals match he beat his compatriot Xu Xin 4:1.

As Adam Bobrow said: "Xu Xin is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're gonna get." Adam said that because Xu Xin dropped 5 points in a row when result was 2:1 for Ma Long and 9:4 in favour of Xu Xin. Eventually, Ma Long won that game 12:10.

7 sets for Oshima Yuya again!

Oshima Yuya faced Ma Long in the semi final match of China Open 2015. 4th time in a row he is playing a match of 7 sets. First three times he won 4 games to 3,  unfortunately this time, he lost to Ma Long with result 11:2 11:7

Nevertheless, Oshima Yuya from Japan is a true inspiration to all Japanese players, and i hope we will be seeing much more of him, in the future!

Timo and Fang Bo had chance for revenge at China Open 2015

In 1/4 finals of China Open 2015, Fang Bo and Timo Boll had chance to get revenge on Ma Long and Fan Zhendong. If you watched WTTC 2015 in Suzhou, and i am sure you have, you probably know that Timo Boll and Fan Zhendong faced each other in 1/4 finals where Fan Zhendong won 4 games  to 2. I thought that Timo will win this time.

Sadly, i was wrong. Fan Zhendong won vs Timo 4:1.  Fang Bo also had his chance to return the favour of winning against his compatriot Ma Long, who already beat him in the finals of WTTC 2015 in Suzhou. He did not use this chance, and Ma Long ran over Fang Bo with devastating result of 4:0 .

Another quarter final took place today - Oshima Yuya who is on a run vs Chuang Chih Yuan, veteran player from Chinese Taipei. There is something special about Japanese player Oshima Yuya, he really likes to play 7 sets. He beat in 7 sets both Dima and Koki Niwa, and now Chuang Chih Yuan. He will face Ma Long in semi finals.

Fan Zhendong will face winner of the quarter final match between Xu Xin and Marcos Freitas - the only European player left in this tournament. Good Luck Marcos!

Big suprise in China Open 2015 : Zhang Jike lost in second round!

After seeing a big upset in the 1st round where Dimitrij lost against Oshima Yuya from Japan, we have another upset. Grand slam champion, Zhang Jike lost in second round against Chuang Chih Yuan 4 games to 2. Chuang managed to win first three sets with close score - 11:8 11:9 11:9. Then Zhang finally found a way to take 2 sets in a row from Chuang. In 5th set at score of 3:1 in sets and 8:7 in favour of Chuang, Zhang confirmed why he is known as man of iron nerves. He won 4 points in a row and managed to win 5th set. But Chuang Chih Yuan is a player with experience. He didn't let Zhang more than 2 sets. Eventually, Chuang won 4:2

Chuang Chih Yuan is to face Oshima Yuya from Japan in 1/4 finals. I think it will be a close match. Even though we haven't heard of Oshima Yuya before, he did beat Dimitri Ovtcharov in the 1st round, and his compatriot Koki Niwa in the 2nd round.

After beating Dimitrij Ovtcharov 4:3 in first round, he managed to defeat his compatriot Koki Niwa in another close match - also 4 games to 3. It really was a nail-biter. I really hope Oshima will face Ma Long in semi finals, that is, if he goes that far, and i hope he does.

Oshima Yuya - a name to remember. He managed to eliminate Dimitrij Ovtcharov by 4 games to 3. It really was a 7 set titan match. To be honest i thought that Dima will go at least to quarter finals. I guess i was wrong. We shall see how Oshima Yuya goes. Good luck Oshima!

China Open 2015 commences!

It is here, probably the toughest open in the ITTF World Tour. China Open. This years first seed is current champion of the world - Chinese dragon - Ma Long. Second seed is "The Cloud Walking" Xu Xin. With them as 3rd and 4th seeds are Zhang Jike and Fan Zhendong. They represent The Chinese "Fantastic Four" .

 Of course we should not forget about this years world runner-up - Fang Bo. As for European players, Marcos Freitas, Timo Boll, Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Vladimir Samsonov have the biggest chance of facing Chinese players in later rounds.

Also, it will be interesting to see how will double partners Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Vladimir Samsonov do together. Good luck to all!
